PATRICK SHIELS Biography

Patrick Shiels' paintings are handled in the United States exclusively by T. H. Brennen Galleries. All works are original and limited in number. There are no giclees, lithographs, or print reproductions of any kind, ensuring the highest value to the Collector, now and in the future.

Materials utilized are modern and archival.  Creative technique is based on ancient methods, as the oil medium was developed by German monks of the 15th century.  Transparent layers of pigment are applied over time on a hard, porcelain-like surface, creating a deep color brilliant stained-glass effect.

The works can be found in prestigious corporate and private collections around the world including Lloyds of London, Bank of New York, the Saudi Royal Family, sports and film celebrities, and are represented by the finest galleries in Europe and the United States.
